On March 7, under the theme “Seeking Spring’s Charm Amidst Mountains and Waters, Celebrating Women’s Splendor,” female employees of the Anhui Wan’an Party, Labor, Trade Union, and Women’s Committees—those with 10 or more years of service as well as outstanding individuals of the year—embarked on a two-day spring excursion to Liqiao Water Town and Yongquan Small Town in Tongling.
That morning, the female employees boarded a company bus and set off. Along the way, laughter and cheerful chatter filled the air, creating a relaxed and joyful atmosphere. Upon arriving at Liqiao Water Town, everyone strolled along the cobblestone streets, flanked by quaint, elegant Huizhou-style buildings. Stone bridges spanned the clear blue waters, while black-canopied boats glided gently through the scene. Along the old street, artisan workshops and specialty shops lined the way, with traditional crafts such as sugar painting and bamboo weaving drawing visitors to stop and try their hand, fully immersing them in the charming Jiangnan charm of “small bridges, flowing streams, and quaint homes.”
The next day, everyone headed to Yongquan Town. Amid the Twelve Scenic Spots of Remembering Jiangnan, some paused to snap photos, capturing the vibrant spring scenery; others bent down to examine the wildflowers growing in crevices among the rocks, marveling at nature’s tenacious vitality. After the sightseeing, participants enthusiastically joined a variety of fun games, and the joyful atmosphere brought the comfort of spring to its peak. Later, they made their way to the Jiangnan Flavor Snack Street, clutching imitation antique copper coins as they wandered through time-honored shops, savoring signature delicacies such as pork-slaughtering soup, handmade wontons, and mugwort-green glutinous rice balls, and experiencing a long-lost sense of homesickness amid the rising steam and lively street life.
This spring outing allowed the female employees to temporarily escape their busy schedules and find a touch of poetic charm and tranquility amidst the quaint water towns and natural landscapes. All participants expressed their commitment to approaching their work with renewed enthusiasm, continuing to play their vital “half-the-sky” role, and making active contributions to the company’s high-quality development.
