Recently, Wan’an Technology convened a kickoff presentation session for its postdoctoral research projects. The meeting was attended by a panel of experts, including Yang Dankun, Deputy Director of the Zhuji Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security; Cai Lianlian, Director of the Municipal Talent Development Service Center; Professor Zhao Zhiguo of Tongji University; Professor Yu Xiaoli of Zhejiang University; Professor Li Qiang of Zhejiang University of Science and Technology; Chen Jiang, Chairman of the Group’s Board of Directors; Chen Feng, Chairman of Wan’an Technology; and Qiu Baoxiang, Senior Director of the Technology Center. Professor Yu Xiaoli served as the chair of the review panel.
At the meeting, Dr. Tan Xiaoqiang, a postdoctoral researcher jointly recruited by the Wan’an Technology Postdoctoral Workstation and the Tongji University Postdoctoral Station, delivered an opening report on “Research on Coordinated Lateral and Longitudinal Control Technologies for Wire-Controlled Chassis Vehicles.” Drawing on industry development trends, Dr. Tan provided a detailed exposition of the project’s background and significance, research objectives, technical feasibility, and the subsequent work plan.
After listening to the report and engaging in on-site discussions, the review panel’s experts, drawing on both domestic and international research trends and the enterprise’s actual development conditions, put forward targeted recommendations. They unanimously agreed that Dr. Tan Xiaoqiang’s research topic is appropriately chosen, the research content and methodology are sound, the technical approach is feasible, and the overall objectives are clearly defined, and therefore approved the proposal for commencement of the project.
During the meeting, the expert panel recommended that the project should further focus on industrialization needs, strengthen in-depth collaboration with OEMs, validate the performance of functional algorithms on actual vehicle models, and enhance the engineering and productization capabilities of the algorithms. At the same time, full use should be made of the postdoctoral workstation’s catalytic role to drive collaborative innovation among the postdoctoral team, universities, and customers through the project, while proactively planning for research outcomes such as high-value patents, provincial-level and above research projects, and research innovation awards.
According to reports, the Wan’an Technology Postdoctoral Research Station was established in September 2010 and has since forged strong collaborative relationships with Tsinghua University, Tongji University, Nanjing University of Science and Technology, Jiangsu University, Zhejiang University of Technology, and other institutions. Together, these partners have jointly trained numerous postdoctoral researchers, several of whom have gone on to become industry leaders.
