To thoroughly implement the “quantity–cost–profit” management philosophy and achieve simultaneous improvements in efficiency and profitability, Wan’an Zhiyu held its 14th internal QC presentation and evaluation meeting on March 16. Seven QC teams from the company took to the stage one after another, with project topics spanning critical areas such as production bottlenecks, process optimization, and energy consumption reduction. Shen Jun, General Manager of Wan’an Zhiyu, along with members of the company’s executive team, attended the event.
During the presentation session, each team skillfully applied a variety of QC tools—including Pareto charts, fishbone diagrams, affinity diagrams, scatter plots, and control charts—and vividly showcased the practical implementation and tangible results of their QC initiatives through comprehensive data, clear logic, and compelling delivery. A panel of seven experts evaluated and scored each team across multiple dimensions, including the significance of the project, the effective use of tools, on-site performance, and quantifiable benefits. Following their presentations, every team entered a Q&A session, during which the judges posed incisive questions and offered professional guidance, and the presenters responded enthusiastically and humbly sought further advice.

Following the presentation by Group 3, Shen Jun, drawing on key principles for applying QC tools, commended the group’s choice of topic for its practical relevance and the thoroughness of the report, while suggesting that the logical progression from cause to effect could be further strengthened. Mr. Shen also offered high praise for Group 5, noting that their project was insightful, employed innovative methods, and demonstrated skillful application of tools.

In the end, following fierce competition and rigorous evaluation, the Lean Explorer team was awarded first prize, the Falcon Circle team second prize, and the United Hearts Circle team third prize. Shen Jun, the company’s General Manager, along with the Vice President of Quality and department managers, presented certificates and cash awards to the members of the winning teams.
This QC appraisal event was both a showcase of achievements and a platform for sharing experiences, providing employees with an opportunity to demonstrate their talents and hone their capabilities. By establishing role models, the initiative has further strengthened an organizational culture in which “everyone values quality and everyone participates in improvement.”
In his concluding remarks, Shen Jun set forth the following requirements: First, deepen the application of research projects and swiftly roll out outstanding results across relevant production lines and processes; second, strengthen data-driven insights to elevate quality tools from basic usability to sophisticated, precision-driven utilization; and third, continuously benchmark against industry leaders, strive for world-class performance, and showcase the company’s quality capabilities on a higher platform.
