Pursuing Excellence, Winning the Future through Quality ▏Guangxi Wan’an Quality Knowledge Competition Concludes Successfully


On March 13, the Guangxi Wanan Quality Knowledge Competition was successfully held under the theme “Pursuing Excellence, Winning the Future through Quality.” The event thoroughly assessed the quality-learning achievements of all employees, reinforced a shared commitment to putting quality first, and further consolidated the company’s momentum for sustained development. Yao Yang, General Manager of Guangxi Wanan, along with members of the management team, heads of various functional departments, and front-line employees who had no production duties that day, attended the competition on site.

The competition was spearheaded and organized by the company’s Quality Assurance Department, with seven teams participating—each comprising members from the Technical Department, Quality Assurance Department, Production Management Department, Marketing Department, Administration Department, and production workshops. Notably, the production workshop team was made up of workshop supervisors, shift leaders, and frontline employees. Following Assistant General Manager Huang Xinlun’s briefing on the competition rules and its significance, the event officially commenced.

The atmosphere at the scene was tense yet vibrant, with each team displaying high spirits and composure as they tackled a series of challenging rounds—including mandatory questions, buzzer quizzes, fill-in-the-blank questions, and scenario-based tasks—engaging in fierce competition while working seamlessly together. This showcased the contestants’ solid grasp of quality knowledge and their strong team spirit. During the competition, a brief hiccup occurred: the buzzer system suddenly malfunctioned. The host remained calm and promptly coordinated on-site adjustments, resolving the issue within minutes and ensuring that the event proceeded smoothly and in an orderly manner. In the end, after intense competition, the Quality Assurance Team emerged as the champion, the Technical Team took second place, and the Welding Team secured third. Li Haiwei from the Quality Assurance Department and Lan Guixiu from the Final Assembly Workshop were awarded the Outstanding Performance Award and the Learning Star Award, respectively, bringing this competition to a successful close.

Shen Lijiang, Deputy General Manager of the company, emphasized that we must ensure product quality by studying and refining our quality management system, while continuing to strengthen team competence and work quality, so as to drive simultaneous improvements in efficiency and profitability through all-round quality enhancement.

Our Guangxi Wanan is determined to become an industry leader, and the cornerstone of this ambition is our robust system-based quality assurance framework, which places uncompromising product quality at its core. In his concluding remarks, Yao Yang emphasized that all employees must firmly remember, thoroughly understand, and effectively apply the quality management system; everyone must actively participate and assume full responsibility, maintaining a profound respect for quality and embedding it deeply in their hearts, thereby solidifying the foundation for the company’s sustainable development. He further noted that the competition is merely a tool to drive improvement, and that such initiatives will be institutionalized and carried out on a regular basis going forward. The goal is to foster a strong organizational culture in which “everyone values quality, everyone controls quality, and everyone strives to enhance quality.” He expressed the hope that all employees will use the competition as a catalyst for learning, leverage that learning to drive action, and translate quality knowledge into tangible results in their daily work.
