Party Flag Flying ▏VIE Zhiyu’s Red Production Line Launches Special Campaign for Safe Production Day

To deeply implement the development philosophy and strengthen employees’ safety awareness, VIE Zhiyu recently launched a special “Safe Production Day” campaign in the aluminum alloy fixed-caliper workshop (the Red Production Line). The company’s management team, all Party members of the branch, and aspiring Party members have gone down to the frontline to take on the “spot-check” challenge—actively testing and identifying the effectiveness of safety devices on the production line and conducting realistic, hands-on inspections to pinpoint any potential safety hazards.

This event, centered on the aluminum alloy fixed-clamp workshop, conducts a comprehensive verification of the functional effectiveness of key safety devices such as light curtains, safety doors, and emergency stop buttons. Wu Chaohua, the organizational committee member of the Party branch, made arrangements based on the event’s objectives, carefully identifying potential safety hazards by taking into account the production processes and risk points at each workstation. Specifically targeting high-risk areas—including the press assembly area, robotic mechanical operations, and rotary table stations—he set up multi-scenario, real-world tests: In the press operation zone, simulated dummy hands were used to trigger the light curtain, testing the equipment’s response time for shutdown; in the robotic operation zone, operators manually opened the safety door of running equipment to verify the interlinked shutdown function between the equipment and the safety door; and at each workstation, the emergency stop buttons were pressed one by one to confirm whether they could effectively bring all workstation operations to an immediate halt in case of an emergency.

During the testing process, all personnel were divided into four teams and proceeded with the tests according to the prescribed procedure. Process engineers provided on-site supervision and meticulously verified the results of each test. By simulating the scenario of an arm reaching into the press operating area, we tested the grating's ability to intercept hazardous operations. During robotic operations, we triggered the safety guard doors to verify the equipment’s alarm and shutdown functions. At the rotary table workstation, we tested the machine’s operation when no product was present. This series of tests not only precisely identified potential safety hazards—such as insufficient sensitivity of grating sensors at certain workstations and delayed responses from individual emergency stop buttons—but also enabled on-site staff to directly experience the critical protective role of safety devices.

At the event site, process and equipment technicians, drawing on the actual testing process, systematically explained to employees the operating principles of safety devices, proper usage guidelines, and emergency procedures for handling malfunctions, turning practical testing into engaging on-site instruction. Through this immersive experience, employees gained a deep understanding of the core concept that “safety facilities are the protective shield of production,” further strengthening their sense of responsibility for the daily inspection and maintenance of safety devices.

This special campaign for safe production is yet another practical step taken by the workshop to promote the standardization and normalization of safety management, with a production-oriented approach. Shen Jun, General Manager of VIE Zhiyu, emphasized: “The Party branch’s launch of this special campaign provides directional guidance for safety management. The workshop should take this as an opportunity to establish and improve a regular verification mechanism for safety devices, fully integrate realistic, hands-on testing into daily production management, and ensure that all requirements for safe production are effectively implemented.”
